We all like to play the game, “What would you do if you won the lottery?” Answers typically vary from quitting your job that very same day to the very pragmatic (and unlikely to follow through on) “stash it away in a savings account.”
This is a question that 8-year-old Myles Eckert faced when he and his family stopped for lunch at a Cracker Barrel in their hometown of Toledo, Ohio. As Myles walked through the parking lot with his mom and sister, he spotted a familiar looking piece of green paper lying in the snow. Twenty dollars! And it was up for grabs!
Thrilled, Myles seized the money. Now, $20 might not be much to many of us but to a young boy, the possibilities can seem endless. As Myles and his family headed into the restaurant, he chattered excitedly about what he would buy with the cash. The Lego Movie video game topped the list. But once he sat down, something totally unexpected happened.
