Did you know Coldplay drummer Will Champion played a drummer on GoT, too? He appeared in the infamous Red Wedding sequence of Season 3 Episode 9, where he was part of the wedding band, and played an old-timey sitting drum. Interestingly, the Red Wedding episode was also one of the most talked about episodes of GoT, and saw the death of some major characters.

Will Champion was also part of Game of Thrones Red Nose Day Special, where he performed along with the cast of the show, and of course, Coldplay members.

Did you know Champion has been with Coldplay since the band began its journey in 1997? The 39-year-old drummer joined the British rock ensemble with almost no previous experience. He left the band for a brief while in 1999, before they asked him to return. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin once said, “We (Coldplay) are all just working for Will Champion.”
